Nutritional Counseling and Guidance
(1 hour):
Many chronic health problems are a direct result of our food choices. Often times
it is possible to manage disease and minimize the need for medication(s) with
comprehensive dietary modification. My approach to diet modification involves transitioning to a plant-based diet. This simply means putting a significant limitation on the intake of animal-based products (primarily meat and dairy) and, instead, consuming mostly whole (unprocessed) foods that come from the earth. The health benefits are hard, if not impossible, to achieve with any other type of diet. It is also better for our fellow animals and our planet.
If you find yourself struggling to manage chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, prediabetes/Type 2 Diabetes, elevated cholesterol, weight gain or fatty liver, let’s start a discussion on how we might improve these problems without just adding more prescription medications.
